In accordance with § 7, paragraph 9 of Act No. 396/2012 Coll. on the Fund for the Support of Education, as amended (hereinafter referred to as the “Fund Act”), the Supervisory Board shall in particular:
elect a Chairperson of the Supervisory Board from among its members,
approve the Rules of Procedure of the Supervisory Board,
oversee the fund’s management,
appoint an auditor to audit the fund’s financial statements,
prepare a report on the status of the fund.

The Supervisory Board consists of three members, of whom:
- two members are appointed and dismissed by the Minister of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic, and
- one member is appointed and dismissed by the Governor of the National Bank of Slovakia.
The term of office of a member of the Supervisory Board is four years, and membership on the Supervisory Board is non-transferable.

The Supervisory Board of the Fund approved the Rules of Procedure of the Supervisory Board at its meeting on 24 October 2013, with immediate effect.
The Rules of Procedure of the Supervisory Board regulate the details of convening meetings of the Supervisory Board and voting within the Supervisory Board, including the preparation of minutes of the meetings.
