Director of the Fund

The Director of the Fund is the statutory body who acts on behalf of the fund in all matters unless reserved by law or internal regulations to the Fund Board or the Supervisory Board. The Director is appointed by the Fund Board and is accountable to it for his or her activities.

In accordance with § 5, paragraph 3 of Act No. 396/2012 Coll. on the Fund for the Support of Education, as amended (hereinafter referred to as the “Fund Act”), the responsibilities of the Director of the Fund include, in particular:

1. preparing the draft budget of the fund and managing the fund according to the approved budget,
2. preparing the annual financial statements of the fund and submitting them to the Fund Board and the Supervisory Board,
3. preparing the draft annual report of the fund and submitting it to the Fund Board and the Supervisory Board,
4. properly maintaining the fund’s accounting,
5. implementing measures to remedy identified deficiencies in the fund’s management and activities,
6. executing decisions of the Fund Board,
7. preparing draft internal regulations of the fund,
8. issuing internal regulations of the fund when approval is not within the competence of another fund body,
9. concluding loan agreements with persons who meet the conditions under the Fund Act,
10. monitoring compliance with contractual conditions during the term of a loan agreement,
11. ensuring the recovery of the fund’s receivables,
12. preparing the strategy for the development of the fund and the sustainability of its activities,
13. submitting proposals for registration of data in the commercial register, proposals for changes to registered data, and proposals for deletion of data from the commercial register,
14. other matters entrusted to the fund’s competence by the Fund Act or internal regulations of the fund.
