Stabilization loan
Are you studying nursing and already know that you will be able to work in Slovakia after graduation? Are financial constraints making it difficult for you to fully focus on your studies? A stabilization loan could be the perfect solution for you.
If you later demonstrate that you have worked full-time or part-time in a shortage-regulated profession in Slovakia, and that you obtained the necessary qualifications through your relevant study program, you may be eligible for a reduction of the outstanding principal on your stabilization loan. The reduction will be calculated proportionally based on the total amount of the loan for each year you work in the shortage-regulated profession.

Are you a nursing student and already know that you will pursue your career in Slovakia after graduation? Are you worried about the lack of financial resources to fully focus on your studies? The stabilization loan is the right choice for you! If you later prove that you worked in a shortage-regulated profession on a full-time or part-time basis in Slovakia, and you gained the required qualifications through your chosen study program, you are eligible for a reduction in the outstanding principal of the stabilization loan. This reduction will be proportional to the total amount of the loan for each year spent in the shortage-regulated profession.

A weighted grade point average (WGPA) is a numerical indicator that reflects a student’s academic performance over a given period. Unlike a simple average of grades, it also takes into account the number of credits for each course—i.e., the weight of each subject in the study program.

The calculation of the weighted grade point average is regulated by Decree No. 614/2002 Coll. of the Ministry of Education of the Slovak Republic on the Credit System of Study.
The WGPA is calculated using the following formula:
WGPA = (∑ (k × z)) / (∑k)
where:
- k = the number of credits for the course,
- z = the numerical value of the grade (e.g., A = 1, B = 1.5, C = 2, D = 2.5, E = 3),
- the sum is calculated over all courses completed in the given period.
The lower the WGPA, the better the academic performance.
A weighted grade point average does not include:
- the simple arithmetic average of grades,
- the percentage of success / the percentage representation of academic performance.
Ak študuješ v zahraničí a chceš, aby sa ti uznal vážený študijný priemer podľa slovenského hodnotiaceho systému, postupuj nasledovne:
- Nájdi si prevodovú tabuľku
- Prevodovú tabuľku ti poskytne študijné oddelenie tvojej školy alebo ju zvyčajne nájdeš na jej webovej stránke.
- V tabuľke si zistíš, ako sa známky z tvojej školy prevádzajú na systém ECTS (A–FX).
- Vyžiadaj si výpis známok za akademický rok
- Požiadaj svoju školu o oficiálny výpis známok za uplynulý akademický rok.
- Dokument musí obsahovať všetky absolvované predmety, ich kreditové hodnoty a známky.
- Vypočítaj vážený študijný priemer
- Podľa prevodovej tabuľky si preveď známky na slovenský systém.
- Následne si pomocou oficiálnej tabuľky vypočítaj vážený študijný priemer.
K žiadosti prilož tieto dokumenty:
- Výpis známok za uplynulý akademický rok zo zahraničnej školy
- Prevodovú tabuľku, ktorá ukazuje prepočet na slovenský systém
- Vyplnenú tabuľku s vypočítaným váženým priemerom podľa slovenského hodnotenia
